Description
Adding a table of contents, bookmarks, or an index to a long report makes it easier to navigate. The report builder has a variety of tools for adding bookmarks, a table of contents, or an index to any freeform or layout table report.

Bookmarks can be added to a report. The bookmarks are shown as a tree control on the left-hand side of the report.
- Report Index
A custom index can be created for a report, listing key terms and page numbers for the report. The index is also 'live', meaning the user can click on an entry to navigate to the corresponding page in the report.
- Removing the Table of Contents, Bookmarks, or Index
If a report contains a table of contents, bookmarks, or index, one or all of these items can be removed quickly using the built-in tools in the report builder.

The entries that appear in the Table of Contents, Bookmark section, and Index are "live" - if you click on an entry, you will be navigated to the appropriate page in the report. In addition, when you print the report to a PDF file, the Table of Contents, Bookmarks, and Index are live.
